VYI SAFETY PROGRAMS

VYI is committed to the safe conduct of all our sports and to keep every child who registers for VYI safe and healthy during their time in our programs.

VYI requires all volunteers who have contact with the children in the program to have a background check prior to interfacing with them at practices, meetings or games.

VYI requires each volunteer to register at this website and to provide contact information used in the background check process. Our website provider has a comprehensive software program designed to track background checks and to follow up on each candidate before they are classified as able to interface with our children.

VYI also has an outside contractor on staff to oversee the safety program and to ensure no volunteer takes the field without the proper safety credentials.
