All players must be registered in order to attend these tryouts.  Keeping in mind that the purpose of assessments is to give coaches the chance to observe and evaluate, players should try to attend as many assessments as possible for their respective age/grade division. 

Note:  Individual assessment sessions may be cancelled or rescheduled at the coaches’ discretion.  Further, weather is always a challenge at this time of year.  Any changes to the published schedule will be announced on the home page of VYI Lacrosse.

UPDATE AS OF 1/31/26:  Due to the snow/ice on our practice fields, and the extended forecast for continued freezing temperatures, we have decided to reschedule our player assessments as noted below (2/28/26 - 3/1/26; coaches' discretion 3/2/26 - 3/3/26).

UPDATE AS OF 2/23/26:  For G3/4, we are combining A and B assessments; for G5/6, we have moved our 2nd open tryout for our A team to Sunday, 3/1/26.  

NOTE: At G5/6 and G7/8, we will have two teams at each age group.  Therefore, once the "A" team roster is determined, the "second" team will also be determined.  Therefore, additional assessments are not necessary for G5/6 and G7/8.

12U – Waters Field – 12:00-1:30 pm
G3/4 – Waters Field – 1:30-3:00 pm

10U – Waters Field – 3:00-4:30 pm 

14U - Waters Field - 5:00-6:00pm  TIME CHANGE

By Friday, March 6, 2026: All A, B, C, Modified Field (“MF”) teams drafted, players notified.
